Our Story Begins With Community

Unity For Change began in February 2025 when our founder, Mfaume Ibrahim, saw immigrant families in Georgia struggling to navigate essential services on their own. Many felt overwhelmed by public benefits applications, welfare processes, and travel documents. Mfaume listened and recognized that the community needed a safe place to ask questions, receive guidance, and build confidence. Unity For Change was created to bring people together in support, so no one feels lost while building a new life.

What Drives Our Work

Our work centers on compassion, respect, and practical help. We treat every person with dignity, and we listen before we act. Unity For Change provides immigrant assistance that connects English language support, public benefits application help, welfare assistance, and travel documents help with sewing classes, computer literacy training, and self-sufficiency programs. This holistic care reflects our belief that education, clear information, and patient guidance together create lasting confidence for immigrants and underserved neighbors in Georgia.

Meet Our Founder

Mfaume Ibrahim founded Unity For Change in Georgia in February 2025 after seeing immigrant parents, neighbors, and friends struggle to read mail, talk with schools, and complete important forms. His vision was simple and powerful, he wanted a safe place where questions are welcome and help is patient. Mfaume understands how confusing new systems can feel, especially without strong English skills or trusted guidance.

Under his leadership, our nonprofit organization in Georgia has grown into a community hub that combines English language support, public benefits application help, welfare assistance, travel documents help, sewing classes, computer literacy training, and self-sufficiency programs. Mfaume works closely with our team, volunteers, and partners so that every person who walks in feels respected, supported, and capable of building a more stable future.
